Hi — thanks for using AMP (previously known as AMPLIFY). This page explains, in plain language, what we keep, why we keep it, and how to take it back.
What we keep
- Your Discord user ID — so your playlists, favourites, and saved stations follow you wherever you use the bot.
- Your server’s ID — so per-server settings (music channel, DJ role, theme, 24/7 mode) stay set the way you like them.
- Your playlists and saved stations — names and tracks you save.
- Usage counts — aggregated button clicks in the bot, and visit counts on this website (page, country and the site that linked you — never tied to your Discord account). No message content, ever.
- Desktop app installs and updates — the app records a random install ID, its version, your Windows generation, app language, and country-level location. On its own that identifies nobody. Once you sign in to the app with Discord, we also store your Discord username and ID against that install, so we can see which version people are running and support you properly. Don’t want it linked? Simply don’t sign in — the app still runs.
- Community features — if you use our Discord community: invite codes you request store your Discord username and ID; the referral leaderboard stores who invited whom and the resulting counts.
- Subscription status — if you subscribe to AMP+, we note whether your subscription is active or expired (via our payment provider).
What we never touch
- Your messages — outside the music channel you set up, we don’t read your chat. Inside it, we only act on commands and links addressed to the bot.
- Your voice — audio streams through and is never recorded.
- Direct messages — we don’t read DMs. Ever.
- Payment details — billing is handled by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
- IP addresses tied to you — we never store IP addresses linked to your Discord account. Our web servers see connection details in short-lived technical logs (used briefly to block spam and de-duplicate anonymous counts as one-way hashes); these rotate out within 30 days and are never used to profile you.
Where it lives
On private servers we control, access-restricted to the AMP team. No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no ad tech. We don’t sell your data — not now, not ever.
How long we keep it
- Your data: until you ask us to delete it.
- Technical logs: up to 30 days, then rotated out.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to send you a copy of everything we hold about you, delete it entirely, or correct it. Email amplify.autobot@gmail.com with your Discord user ID — we aim to reply within 48 hours, and never take longer than 30 days.
If you remove AMP from your server
Server-specific settings and playlists saved inside that server are removed within 30 days. Your personal playlists belong to you, not the server — they’ll be waiting the next time you use AMP anywhere else.
Younger listeners
You need to be 13+ (or your country’s minimum) to use Discord, and the same goes for AMP. We don’t knowingly hold data on anyone younger.
If anything changes
Meaningful changes are announced in the bot’s music channel and on this page at least 7 days before they take effect — nothing ever changes silently.
